Today the Senate passed EHB 1967, helping to guide future growth out of the floodplains!
EHB 1967, sponsored by Rep. Scott White, passed out of the Senate late Friday morning. Because there was a technical amendment, the bill now returns to the House so they can agree to the Senate's change.
This bill will prevent further urbanization of our floodplains. From preventing harm to people & property to saving taxpayer dollars, conserving farm & forest land to adapting to likely impacts of climate change, or maybe it's just common sense - there are many reasons to support this bill.
