Just as our state legislative session has come to a close, things are heating up in DC. Tomorrow is a big day in the US Senate -- and our own Senator Murray is in the perfect place to be our champion.

Just as our state legislative session has come to a close, things are heating up in DC.  Tomorrow is a big day in the US Senate -- and our own Senator Murray is in the perfect place to be our champion.

Ask Senator Murray to be our champion for Sustainable Communities today!

The Sustainable Communities Initiative is a project of the US Department of Housing & Urban Development that has helped to get communities across the country -- including many here in Washington -- to create jobs, become more economically viable and create more housing and transportation options.

Now HUD needs our help protecting the Sustainable Communities Initiative. The Senate is currently drafting a budget for fiscal year 2013, and among their decisions will be how to fund this Sustainable Communities Initiative. Your voice can help make sure this agency continues to help individuals and communities in the coming year.

Senator Murray is the Chair of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee, which will take on this important decision tomorrow. By speaking out today, you can help the Senator and the Committee to understand how their funding decisions will impact your neighborhood, your town or even the country.

Sustainable communities help everyone. Ask Senator Murray to be our champion for HUD’s Office of Sustainable Communities today.
