Urbanism Without Effort is a new book by Chuck Wolfe; the book explores "what happens naturally when people congregate in cities -- innate,
unprompted interactions of urban dwellers with each other and their surrounding urban and physical environment."  Chuck, whose writing regularly appears in The Atlantic and Huffington Post, explores underlying rationales for urban policy, planning
and regulation from a historical perspective, with an eye for the everyday uses of urban space.

Chuck's book offers readers inspiration, historical context, and a better understanding of how a sustainable, inviting urban environment is created.

Sound Science Shoreline Forums - San Juan County

Sound Shoreline Science Forum are free forums about shoreline health. You will learn about wildlife and other needs of the shore edge of Puget Sound as well as the Shoreline Master Program process for San Juan County.

As our population increases, it is important to do what we can to ensure clean water and habitat for salmon, crab, shellfish and the myriad of other sea creatures that make our way of life so special.
