Week of April 23 Legislative Update

Well, we are finally here. Yesterday was Sine Die, which means it is the last day of the 2023 legislative session. A monumental moment indeed! We have some final things you can do to wrap this all up. Read on for updates as well as some upcoming things you can take action on.

Thank Your Legislators for voting For Our Future

This year, we passed two groundbreaking bills out of the legislature: Missing Middle Housing (HB 1110) and Climate Planning in the GMA (HB 1181). Now, we want to thank our Legislators for voting YES on Missing Middle and Climate Planning For Our Future. It will take less than five minutes to do so.

Provide Your Feedback

As we are wrapping up the For Our Future Campaign for the 2023 legislative session, we’d love to hear from you! We launched our campaign back in November 2022. We passed two out of our three priority bills thanks to all the work you did. Now, we’d love to hear from you about what you liked, and what suggestions you have for future campaigns.

By The Numbers: Leg Session Recap

As you all know, passing bills isn’t easy! Here is how we passed 2 bills this session, and what your continual action meant to us!

  • 25,978 emails sent

  • 14,000+ pro sign ins to bill hearings

  • 1,789 volunteers activated

  • 25 in-person lobbying meetings

  • 49/49 legislative districts engaged

When we kept saying we couldn’t do it without y’all, we meant it!

That’s all I have! I don’t think I can capture in words how much I appreciate every single one of you who took any actions during this legislative session. Sincerely, thank you so much for a successful legislative session! You will hear from me again. Until then!
