For Our Future: Week of Action (Dec 2022)

Week of Action Dec 11 -16

December Week of Action– which events can you attend?

There’s only a few more weeks until the beginning of the legislative session! That’s a small window for us to raise visibility and support on our campaign. That’s why we’re hosting a December week of action Dec 11-16, with events every day. Sign up for what you’re interested in and stay tuned for more information. If you’re interested in helping run any of these events, check the box marked “interested in helping coordinate!”

Capitol Hill Farmer’s Market Clipboarding (Seattle in-person only) Sunday Dec 11, 11-1pm

  • Hang out at the Farmer’s Market and get people excited about middle housing! We’ll be collecting petitions, educating the public, and grabbing lunch together in the iconic Seattle district.

Letter to the Editor Writing Group (Zoom) Monday Dec 12, 6-7:30pm

  • Ever wanted to be a published writer? Now’s your chance! Join the zoom to learn how to write and submit catchy LTE’s that could be published in a newspaper near you to raise visibility around middle housing.

Social Media Action Day (remote) Tuesday Dec 13, all day

  • Let’s get #ForOurFuture trending this Tuesday with posts highlighting why we care about these issues. Check your email for materials to craft a trend-worthy post. Bonus points to anyone who gets re-shared by an elected official!

Story-telling Training (Zoom) Wednesday Dec 14, 6-7pm

  • Interested in testifying or lobbying? Have a compelling experience you aren’t sure how to share? Attend this training to re-invigorate your story-telling skills to compel decision-makers to act.

Postcard Parties (in-person at Seattle, Bellingham, Port Angeles, and Spokane) Thursday Dec 15, Time Depends

  • Who doesn’t love getting a postcard in the mail? Certainly not WA’s leaders on why we support them taking action #ForOurFuture! Join us as we write and collect postcards to mail. Postcard parties will be held in Seattle, Bellingham, Port Angeles, and Spokane!

Email Action Day (remote) Friday Dec 16, all day

  • Grab your trusty computer and harness your new story-telling skills to share with our targets why fighting #ForOurFuture is so important. Check your email for materials for writing and submitting emails for yourself, your friends, family, and anyone who will listen to you.

If you are interested in any of these opportunities, sign up here or email Marcella to get involved.
