CCC: June Happy Hour

Wednesday, June 24
6:00 – 7:30 pm

Summer is here, and boy, are we excited for some sunshine☀️. With more daylight comes more Seattle residents using public transit to access all the amazing wonders our city has to offer, so why not talk about the magic of transit-oriented development (TOD)! For this month’s happy hour, Futurewise and the CCC are collaborating with our friends at Habitat for Humanity (King and Kittitas County) who have been making huge strides in their transit-oriented development work in the Rainier Valley.

Come learn about how Habitat for Humanity has been literally and figuratively building up communities across King County, and how our coalitions advocacy efforts can help bolster more TOD across all parts of Seattle! Grab a drink, cheers your neighbors, and come celebrate with the Complete Communities Coalition as we fight for more homes, of more types, in more places, for more people.

We hope to see you there!

RSVP HERE!

Habitat is creating permanently affordable homeownership directly within transit-rich neighborhoods in Seattle, using a combination of transit investment, surplus public land, zoning reform, and state housing legislation. In the next few years, Habitat will offer more than 160 new homes near transit for first-time homebuyers. These Transit-Oriented Developments are located throughout the Rainier Valley, and Habitat is currently accepting applications for the first 58 homes at Liberty Commons next to the Columbia City Light Rail Station
