Virtual: Seattle Volunteer & Public Comment Training

🏡Volunteer and Public Comment Training🏡

Date: Tuesday, March 31st, 2026
Time: 6pm-7:30pm
Location: Online (Zoom)

Calling all housing advocates!

With Phase Two of Seattle’s Comprehensive Plan in progress, the Complete Communities Coalition (CCC) is gearing up to tell City Council what we’re fighting for: a more affordable Seattle, with more housing, parks, and public transit for all. But we can’t do this work without your support. We believe our Council can and should improve upon what’s been designed, and go farther to not just promote more housing, but protect trees, our waterways, and so much more.

Thanks to our collective efforts, the One Seattle Plan lays out a great vision for allowing more homes in all neighborhoods and making Seattle a more affordable, welcoming, and sustainable city. But we need bold zoning to make this plan a reality. Centers + Corridors (Phase Two) is the next step to delivering this strong vision for housing abundance, through updated zoning in new and expanded Neighborhood and Urban Centers and along frequent transit corridors.

How can you help?

We will be hosting a virtual training on Tuesday, March 31st at 6pm, in order to share updates and talking points regarding Phase Two of our Comprehensive Plan as well as strengthen skills to help you become an effective volunteer. The best part? You don’t need to be a zoning wonk to join! All are welcome to learn more about Seattle’s Comprehensive Plan progress and find ways they can plug in and join our quest for affordable housing!

What you’ll learn!

In addition to understanding what our Comprehensive Plan process looks like in Seattle, you’ll also get a deeper dive into our coalition priorities, discover multiple ways you can engage throughout this phase, and learn the basics of how to provide public testimony to City Council. Let’s build up complete communities!

Mark your calendars, pull out your favorite pair of sweats, and join us online on March 31st!

Date: Tuesday, March 31st, 2026
Time: 6pm-7:30pm
Location: Online (Zoom)

Don’t forget to register to join our public hearing rally on Monday, April 6th!
